Swirled Satin Sheets I, by Tiana Laveen

WARNING – This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable. "Swirled Satin Sheets I" takes the reader on a journey of three engaging, sensual multi-cultural love stories. In “Electric Knights” we meet a brawny, blue-collar knight in shining armor, Christopher. His killer looks – tall, blonde and blue-eyed – are no match for his strong-willed love interest, Natasha. Natasha is a wedding planner who was unable to plan her own future quite the way she desired. She leaves an emotionally and physically tumultuous marriage to start a new life. Will she and Christopher ignite long-lasting sparks? Slide inside this story and find out. “Stomp the Glass” features a boy/girl-next-door theme, literally. It is 1978 Baltimore. Disco, marijuana, platform shoes and the Son of Sam are the talk of the country. One rainy evening leads Roxanne, an intelligent, awkward, sassy and cute bookworm, right into the hands of a charming, witty, yet equally awkward light-blue-eyed Jewish peer, Asher. The attraction is instantaneous, but this blessed occurrence is dismissed. Will these two peas in a pod settle in comfortably? Turn the page with them to find out. “Rayne Dance” takes us through the intense thoughts and feelings of Rayne and Tyee. Rayne is a Detroit native but now a disgruntled social worker living in Arizona. Hanging on by a boring thread, she suddenly receives some excitement when she steps foot into a local bar – but this is not what she had in mind. Tyee, a tall, devastatingly handsome Apache biker gang leader sees her and aggressively pursues the none-too-willing community servant. After making his intentions known several times, Rayne finally agrees to jump on his Harley and let him whisk her through the hot, Arizona desert. Little does she know that it is not the only ride he’ll take her on. Tyee is bad, bad to the bone. Can Rayne get over his wicked ways and see past the leather, cursing and chains? Go for a spin and find out.

Rayne and Tyee's story is Absolutely Amazing. A ten by itself. The Other two Shorts are Good too!
By Heat10
Updated review after correction made in story. Went from 4 to 5 Stars.

This book combines three stories:

Story 1: Christopher and Natasha:

Christopher and Natasha meet and they have a common link, Natasha's husband. Christopher decides he wants to have sex with Natasha for all of the wrong reasons, but falls hard. Natasha is married but separated from her husband, Trent. This story has some realistic elements that are better left read than written. The romance is a 3 out of 5 but worth the read for sure.

Con--- I liked this story but upon finishing the book it's a 4 out of 5, simply because Rayne and Tyee's story is amazing.

Pros----Realistic with the human element.

Story 2: Asher and Roxanne:

Asher is Roxanne's new neighbor. Both are smart and sexy, but Roxanne has some issues. He pursues her and she avoids him, but when the tables are turned he does the same. I love that because too few authors give women hell in these stories when they deserve to be treated like they treated the male character. The sex is hot and a must read!!!

Cons: Roxanne was tripping not getting with him sooner, but that's minor and enhances the story. Once again 4 out of 5 stars.

Pro: the characters are not your run of the mill character. Likable in an odd way.

Story 3: Tyee and Rayne: Tyee is Native American and dangerous. He sees Rayne and pursues her. And he's holding no punches to get her. He's sexy and the romance is really hot. They have struggles because she's rightfully scared of his dark side. However, he's oh so sexy. This could have been a book all by itself.

Cons: None in my opinion.

Pros: Hot, alpha male, sexy male, smart female, strong female character, and on and on and on I could go. The love scenes in this book are hot. Tyee is unreal and Rayne makes him earn anything she gives him. Their relationship isn't a cake walk for him. One of the best stories you will read. This story is a 10. Even if the first two stories were average, which they're not this story makes the book a 5 Star read.

The Softer, Sensual Side of Romance
By Romance Luva
The title of my review may be a little misleading, but it fits the first 2 stories perfectly. I am a huge fan of Tiana Laveen, yet my opinion is totally unbiased. The first story deals with domestic violence and learning to love and trust again in the midst of hurt and deception not only from the abuser but also from a new love...

The second tale, and I think, the most romantic of the three, is a "period" piece which Ms. Laveen has become an expert in (in my unbiased opinion). It takes place in the 70's (damn, am I that old???) yet it is totally relatable. It deals not only with interracial love but inter-faith romance as well.

The last, and most sensuous of the three, is by far my favorite. If you've read Sins of The Naughty Saint, then you will definitely love this one! Tyee ranks up there with Saint. On a scale of 1 to 10, Tyee is a 15! Tall, dark, muscular, handsome, and sexy as hell!!!

Overall, this was a very pleasant and enjoyable read. There were 1 or 2 very minor grammatical errors, would have liked to given it 4.5 stars. I took off 1/2 star because each of the female leads just irked me slightly. Sometimes we don't know a good thing when it's staring us right in the face, and I wanted to slap some sense into them!

worht the price

I love to read books byTiana Laveen, her BWWM are all different ethnicities and they all don't work for corporate America.

Electric Knights deals with domestic abuse and trying to overcome the physical and mental abuse. Natalie is abused by her husband, she eventually leaves and starts a romance with someone else however she realizes she has to work on herself first. From the first sentence I was hooked.

Stomp the Glass goes back to 1978 and a jew and a black woman meet. I love how this story has the female and male character so head strong. But in the end the woman looses her hard shell and finds love. I also love the music references.

Rayne Dance, OMG a native American and a black woman mmm mmmm mmmm too good. This book tells Tyee's and Rayne's story and how they combine one story. I like how the woman waited 3 months before sex most stories boy meets girl and the next day they are screwing.
I like how Tiana Laveen incorporates music, joy, empathy and love in her books and how she is not afraid to write about harsh topics and not all of her characters are from the Fortune 500 but ordinary men.
These are my favorite books from Tiana Laveen. Smoke and Mirrors, Scandalous Heroes- Tattooed Moon, Swirled Satin Sheets 1
